    • NEW! You can also place your text links into our RSS feed! Simply check ‘Include’ for RSS Ads and your ad will also appear in all stories read by our most loyal readers who read our site via RSS. This service is an additional $40/month per ad.

As blogs update with new content, the stories appear in their reader as ‘new’ where they can select and read it without visiting the site to read each story. Feedvertising will put your text based ad at the end of every story, ensuring maximum visibility to our most loyal readers. To place an ad in our RSS feed, do the following:
    • Go to the Text Link Ads website

  4. Banner Ads ($45/month) – 468×60 banner ads are a good way to improve brand awareness as well as generate click throughs to your site. Banner ads are shown after the 2nd, 7th, and 12th story of all story browsing pages (including the main page) and after every story before the comments. As a banner ad sponsor, you will receive a personal login page where you can view statistics and update the banners that are part of your campaign. A maximum of 10 banner ads may rotated at any given time, increasing your exposure. Banners must be 468×60 in optimized GIF/JPEG format. Animations are permitted.   5. Tower Ads ($85/month) – Tower ads can really draw a readers attention due to their size. Tower ads are shown on every page in the left sidebar and are available in two sizes. 160×240 Tower ads will appear directly below the Text Link Ad box on all pages. This ensures your ad is usually seen upon the initial page load. 160×600 Tower ads are bigger and are placed approximately halfway down the sidebar on most pages. This placement often results in the 160×600 tower ads being visible when a reader has finished reading an article, increasing the odds the ad will be noticed. As a tower ad sponsor, you will receive a personal login page where you can view statistics and update the tower ads that are part of your campaign. A maximum of 6 tower ads may rotate at any given time, increasing your exposure. Tower ads must be either 160×240 or 160×600 in optimized GIF/JPEG format, or text/HTML based.   6. Google AdWords – You can also advertise via Google’s AdWords program. These popular text ads are displayed in the following locations:
    • 5 rotating ads within the left sidebar in a Skyscraper format
    • Rotating banner ads which appear between stories on the main page (twice) and in the middle of longer stories (twice). The banners only display once for shorter stories.

    The Google ads will be shown in all three places if no other advertising is available. If custom banner and tower campaigns are underway, AdWords ads only will appear within most articles that are longer than a page (at the top when users click ‘Read More’). You can target a Google AdWords ad for this site and it will be displayed frequently based on your ad campaign settings. To create an AdWords ad that will display on On The Pitch, do the following:

    • Go to Google AdWords using this link.
    • Create an AdWords account if you haven’t already and sign in.
    • Once you are logged in, if necessary click this link again and you will be presented with a targeted ad campaign setup screen.
    • Follow the instructions for creating your ad and it will enter rotation on our site.
