Yeah, my daughter’s game for this evening has been cancelled. It was a reschedule game for one that was rained out a couple of weeks ago. Starting to wonder if we will finish the season…
No kidding. My son’s coach noted he’d spoken with another NC coach who hadn’t even gotten a match played yet – and we started Feb 7th!!! I’m waiting until we start to reschedule matches for the 2nd or 3rd time – it’s been that crazy. My team has been VERY lucky – 7 out of 10 played. Most of our other travel teams, maybe 3-4 played.
My son (U16) has gotten in 6 of their 9 matches so far. They’re supposed to play on the turf at WRAL tomorrow so hopefully that is still on. Daughter has played only 3 out of 6 matches so far because of rain.
And here in KY no games to cancel because we are on spring break and everyone I know is going to some place in that green, yellow and red mess. So sorry for them!
Well we washed out weekend #4 last weekend, and sure enough, there is rain forecast for Wed, Thu, and Fri. One day of rain is OK – fields do fine. Multiple days, they get too soft to play, even in the sunny warm weather forecast for Saturday. Sigh.
Good news is we saw green grass sprouting up on the fields this week, so the green is on the way!

I wonder how HS will handle it because you’re only allowed to have 3 games per week, I think, and most of the weeks already have 3 scheduled.
