One of the Premiership teams, Middlesbrough (Boro), was recruiting a new manager, so someone with extensive, er, virtual experience decided to apply for the job. His years of team management experience on Football Manager 2005 was impressive as was his practical experience with the St. Paul’s Under-11’s. His cover letter and CV were excellent and he came this close to landing the job. Read the letter he got back from the club’s chairman towards the bottom. That’s absolutely hilarious. Nice to see some people still have a sense of humor. As John noted at the end: ‘I hereby declare that Middlesbrough Football Club and their chairman, Steve Gibson, are ace’
