Browsing through the site stats the other day and I noticed this phrase was searched for a few times:
Coaching U12 Girls Soccer
HAHAHAHA You’ve got no idea what you are in for! Don’t get me wrong – I’ve enjoyed coaching my girls travel team EVERY year, but if you’re searching for that, you likely haven’t coached that age before and probably aren’t prepared for it. Good luck! 🙂

Boys and girls bring different skills to soccer practice, it’s true, but it seems like a very negative approach to make soccer coaches view coaching girls as an daunting and scary prospect. You should check out some of the articles on http://www.footy4kids about coaching girls and look at this article on how boys and girls view competition in different ways http://www.footy4kids.co.uk/do-boys-and-girls-view-competition-in-different-ways.htm
[Comment initially showed it was from Steve Watson, who runs the Footy4Kids website. He notified us it was not his. Changed name to reflect the contact info provided]

While I’m happy to have you promote your site in the comments, I don’t think you understood the point of the linked article. While this short post was meant mostly as a joke, the linked article is quite in depth. It certainly was not meant to convey that coaching girls was scary. The point was that certain seasons, for boys AND girls, will be more challenging than the rest and to be prepared for it, because many newer coaches are NOT prepared. Your article is a great source of statistical information – but it never really talks about what conclusions to draw from the data. I also think their sample was badly biased: Revised questionnaire distributed to over 1,000 young athletes from across the United States between 11 and 18 years of age at the USA Soccer Cup Tournament in Blaine, MN. Players who attend tournaments are a specific subset of players nationally.
One of the more interesting data points in your article to me is this:
I find that VERY interesting at how balanced the sources of pressure are and that 20% of the kids listed themselves and 18% listed teammates. Not sure many people realize how many different directions the pressure comes from AND that the pressures are NOT always the same.
Some very interesting statistical information… Oh and the splash screen popup when you visit the site with the ‘No Thanks’ link barely visible makes it very unlikely people will link to your content…

As a matter of interest, I didn’t post the comment dated August 9th (6.20am). Someone is impersonating me…

Interesting. The comment came from a Charlotte Pearson at Green Star Media. Maybe someone you hired to do SEO? Bizarre. Bunch of links to your content at greenstarmedia.net too, along with others. Anyway – update the comment and appreciate you letting me know!
