Nope – not safe with Dave O’Brien. Whatta waste! I do like Bruce and Eric and their commentary. I could not be happier that the US beat Mexico (AGAIN!).

Agreed – I’m really liking Eric and Bruce as a team. They keep it lively, aren’t always in agreement, and they both like to talk so much, O’Brien can hardly get a word in edgewise which is a GOOD thing
Fun match to watch last night. A man I like how Jonathan Bornstein has played. His defense is very light footed and when he decides to take off. Wow – very impressive start on the national scene these past to matches.

I concur with your thoughts on Jonathan Bornstein. He played with confidence and was fearless against a tough Mexican side (at least my impression). He was not intimidated. He’s a player to watch.

Might have to get used to Dave “Serial Mangler” O’Brien, several stories have him as being THE voice of ESPN’s soccer coverage for the foreseeable future.
Ah, those dulcet tones, those meaningless facts, those nearly-right-but-not-quite pronunciations, those phantom players…

Yeah it looks that way. For a while there it seemed like DO was moving on to other things like his Boston announcing gig and the like. When he didn’t do the Denmark friendly – there was hope.
Phanton players… LOL
Here’s hoping Eric and Bruce keep talking so much Dave gets bored and falls asleep.
