While the scores have definitely been low, there is no doubt the players are more apt to take some long range rocket shots from 30 yds out. I've seen a number of those hit the net or come very close. Is it the new ball? Perhaps. Most people I know who have one have said the same thing you did - its a rocket off the foot. I've noticed that too. A lot of 0-0 1-0 scores. I watched two Quarter final games come down to PK's. If that's true than you already have your answer as to if it will affect scoring. I haven't really seen the keepers having a real problem at all. I think it happened to one guy he complained about it and the others caught "bad game excuse syndrom" from him.lol I actually have one and it is a very impressive ball. There is also almost no weight difference from a regular ball. At least none that you would notice. The real difference is the way this baby rockets off your foot. It's a madman.
